Las niñas también se visten de blanco


Llega la primavera, el sol, el verde de los campos, la luz hasta las ocho (bendita hora extra de luz!) con ella vuelvo a marcar en mi agenda días de divertidas sesiones con los más pequeños de la casa.
Tengo historias protagonizadas por locos bajitos guardados en mi cajón que enseñaros y lo haré muy pronto. Pero hoy voy a mostraros un tipo de fotografía que hasta la fecha no había enseñado públicamente: las comuniones.
No estoy especializada en este tipo de fotos ni las hago como churros, ni mucho menos... de hecho podría contar con los dedos de las dos manos las sesiones de comunión que he hecho en estos últimos tres años. El motivo quizá sea que me gusta fotografíar niños que parecen niños y cuando se visten con esos trajes tan serios se vuelven mayores de repente.
Sin embargo, los clientes que han venido preguntándome si hacía este tipo de fotografía buscaban no perder la frescura y esencia de la niñez y bueno, eso es lo que he intentado mantener.

Finally Springtime is here; the sun, the green fields, having light until 8pm (thanks for that!) and now I start filling again my agenda with funny and crazy kids photoshoots.
I have some lovely kids sessions that I will post very soon, but in the meantime, I'm going to show you the kind of pictures that you've never seen before here: the first communion, a catholic tradition we celebrate in Spain.
I don't use to shoot this kind of pics because I love the fact of photographing kids looking like kids and when they wear the communion costumes, suddenly, they grow a lot and look older and too serious.
So what I try is to photograph them without loosing the freshness and childhood essence.
